The word xenophobe, as such, is an adjective that is composed of the words xeno-and phobo, which in turn they come from the Greek roots ξένος (xenos), which means 'foreigner' and-φόβος (phobes), which indicates 'fear' or 'repulsion'.
Thus, a xenophobe is a person who has prejudices, intolerance or repulsion towards those who, for whatever reason, come from other countries, cultures or religions, and have other habits and practice different customs.
Hence, whoever is xenophobic is prone to manifest dis stains or preferences based on motives that may well be of race, color, lineage or national or ethnic origin.Xenophobes, in this sense, are also the discriminatory acts perpetrated against foreigners based on these arguments.
In this sense, xenophobes are able to show their feelings of aversion and intolerance in very different ways, ranging from indifference and lack of empathy, to rejection and contempt, which can even evolve towards threats, physical aggressions and murder.
