Meaning of Power (What is, Concept and Definition)
What is Power:
Power, coming from the Latin potentĭa ('power', 'force') has several uses and meanings in different fields such as Physics , the Mathematics and the Philosophy .Generally speaking is the ability or possibility to perform or generate something.A power is also a person, an entity, state or nation that has a great influence, strength or power.
Power in Physics
In Physics , power is the amount of work (force or energy applied to a body) in a unit of time .It is expressed with the symbol ' P ' and is usually measured in watts or watts ( W ) and which equals 1 July per second. One formula to calculate the power is P=T/t, where 'T' equals' work '(in joules) and' t 'se ran sponge with 'time' (in seconds).
Electric power
The power electric is the amount of energy emitted or absorbed by a body in a time unit .The measurement of the electrical power consumption of a domestic electric device at kilowatts per hour ( kW/h).
The reactive power is a type of electric power that appears in facilities alternating current , associated with the generation of magnetic fields and dissipated by the reactive loads (coils and capacitors). It is represented by the letter 'Q' and the unit of measurement that is usually used is the reactive voltmeter (VAr).
Mechanical power
The mechanical power is the amount of force applied to a body in relation to the speed with which it is applied. One of the forms ulas to find it is: P=F · v.Therefore, the force (F) expressed in newtons (N) is multiplied by the speed (v) expressed in meters per second (m/s).
Power in Mathematics
A power is a mathematical expression that indicates the multiplication of a number by itself as many times as its exponent indicates .A power is represented as a small number written to the right and above accompanying a number (base).
An example of power is 72.The number '7' is the base and the '2' is the exponent (also called index or simply, power ).This power would be equivalent to 7 x 7 multiplication.
Power in Philosophy
The concept of ' power ' is one of the objects of study of Philosophy . Aristotelian philosophy defines this term not like the ' c apathy of being ' in the future, as opposed to the concept of 'act'.
Philosophy also speaks of power of the soul to refer to a faculty or capacity of the soul .According to some positions, three powers of the soul (memory, understanding and will) are considered that allow the human being to remember, Know and love, respectively.
