Meaning of Development - What it is, Definition and Concept

The term development refers to intellectual growth and maturity in all dimensions of the evolutionary cycle of people, which implies the psychic and physical exercise in the process of teaching learning, in a sequence of changes and continuous transformations of all psychophysical areas of an organism, which is built over time in a permanent interaction to adapt to its environment.

Development is a dynamic and permanent process that begins with life and is aimed at perfecting the individual.a positive connotation and progress, since it implies a growth towards higher stages .

That is why the term development can be used in different ways, be it economic, social, political, scientific or cultural.

The human development index (HDI) is a statistical measurement prepared by the United Nations Development Program , whose purpose is to obtain indicators in relation to the population's life expectancy, mortality and birth levels, adult population literacy, school enrollment, the oscillations of the economic wealth of the countries reflected in the gross domestic product, among many other quantitative and qualitative factors of development.

A sustainable development of society , is one in which good quality of life and satisfaction of the population's needs are achieved, without jeopardizing natural resources for future generations, that is to say making reasonable use of the natural assets of the environment.

As long as the term development applied to a country or nation, allows the differentiation between developed, undeveloped and developing countries , for which factors such as the number of inhabitants will be taken into account per square kilometer of surface, quality of life and integration to the environment, scientific and technological development, health care and education, degree of industrialization, wealth and income distribution, among other elements.

In literature, literary works and specifically the novels and stories , present an introduction, a development and an outcome that describe the beginning, development and resolution of the conflict raised in history.
