What is freedom of gender? »Its Definition and Meaning
Gender freedom (or also known as gender equity) is the set of beliefs , values or ideas that a society has in terms of sexual difference, taking into account gender, equality among all, the valuation of each individual and the relationship of men-women decided by themselves.That is, it is the search to match all rights , duties and respect that each genre must demand or possess regardless of any condition established by the society ; Firstly, the freedom of gender was promoted for the defense of the female gender, in ancient times the man of the woman was placed above and this is due to different characteristics that the male gender possesses, often it was said that the man was in charge of working, while women should only devote themselves to maintaining the home and caring for the family.
Due to this idea, the rights of women were violated and omitted in almost every aspects that move a society; women were seen as blind, deaf and dumb beings, in matters that only affect men, previously they could not express themselves, or give their opinion on changes in their community or political issues (in fact women they could not vote.) Over the years, the female genre has shown that they possess capabilities as equal as men; In recent years they have stood out as important pieces in the social, economic and political sphere.Today there are women who have even held the presidency of a country, belong to the Senate of a nation and are also part of national banks.
Accordingly, the purpose of gender equality is to allow all individuals (regardless of gender or sexuality) the same conditions , treatment and opportunities in a society ; in this way the elimination or omission of the differences between the two is not wanted, but rather to appreciate them and know them combine to achieve a better future for the region that is inhabited, thus granting all citizens dignity , justice and equality, while guaranteeing the impossibility of demonstrating discrimination between individuals of the same nation.
