The word indeed can have several functions in a sentence or text, it all depends on the context in which it is found.The expression indeed is used as an adverb of affirmation , therefore, as a first use it is used to affirm a previous sentence or, answer a question , in reference to this point, some people classify it as an intensifier, for example: she says she is ugly-ugly indeed , translated in the Spanish language means, she says she is ugly-if ugly or really ugly.
