Definition of coating - What it is, Meaning and Concept

In the field of painting it is in one of the sectors where the term coating is used more clearly and routinely.Specifically, in that field it is used to refer to the finish that is given to a given space or surface applying the layer of a specific material with the clear objective of being able to achieve a result that is aesthetically adequate and optimal.

In this case, paint professionals, to achieve the aforementioned purpose, can make use of a host of coating materials, such as varnishes, chlorinated rubber, cellulose-type enamels, acrylic enamels, vinyl resins, silicones...

The facades of buildings and homes are the areas where work is most carried out by carrying out coatings that not only give them a beautiful appearance but also allow them from thermal insulation to fire retardant properties, for example.For example, they are painted with materials such as those mentioned, plasterboard sheets are placed or vinyl PVC sheets are placed, among other things.
