What is Dictionary:
A dictionary is a repertoire of linguistic words or expressions organized alphabetically in a printed or digital text, in order to make their meaning known.
Dictionary word comes from the Latin dictionarium .The Latin term is formed with the word dictum , which means 'say' or 'indicate', the suffix -io , which means 'action and effect' and the suffix- arium that indicates relationship or belonging.
In its basic meaning, the dictionary is a text that records the entire repertoire of words of a language, with the purpose of defining them, making the equivalent terms known and explaining their use and function.
In addition to making the meaning of words known, dictionaries are good sources for learning the correct way to write them.
